Thanks, Dennis - that's what I've always heard too but I've never messed
with it personally. Seems kinda silly to put it on NT to me but......we'll
see what happens.

FWIW, we've been told in the past pointblank by Novell that the GW agents
run best on NW. How true, or if it's still true, I can't really say. All our
stuff is on NW. We tried to bring up a second webaccess on NT at one point,
but never did get it complete.

That's not a problem.....there are Netware servers in operation and there
will be for the foreseeable future. They just don't want to add any.

My real question is about functionality/reliability, etc. If we put GW on
an NT platform, is that gonna cause any problems more than on a Netware
platform? ....or even less problems, I don't mind going in and agreeing
with their preference. I just want to avoid any stupid ideas.

NT Agents are available, however, you need at least one NetWare server to
manage user accounts (NDS).

Anybody running GW5.5 on an NT platform? I've been scheduled for a GW
installation tomorrow and late yesterday, I was told that the NT server
should be all set up and ready when I get there....that set me back a
little!

This company would like to put it on NT because they have more support for
NT and they are phasing out Netware servers but they have a rather large
Groupwise installed base so their planning to keep the Groupwise mail
platform for now. Because of this, they'd rather put it on NT unless this
will be a problem.
