The tsa comes with GW6. It can only work with BackupExec and Novell backup software

Where'd you get the new tsa? Is it part of GroupWise 6?

Speaking of such, what's the consensus best way to back up GroupWise?
I'm using ArcServeIT 6.6?

Hi,

Has anyone started using the new tsa for GroupWise systems? We are
testing it at the moment and things are not going 100% fine... We use
BackupExec (version 8.1, rev 3012), and all our GroupWise system is at
version 6. The backup goes fine, i.e. the status of the jobs come back
as "normal". But if we look at the log files, there are several files
that are said to have been skipped. With one exception they are all
userxxx.db files. On one post office, about 50% of the userxxx.db files
are skipped (the exact error reported is "Insufficient privilege for
/ofuser/userxxx.db - skipped"). When we run the backup jobs, there are
less than 5% of these users attached to the post office. The other file
that gets skipped is NGWGUARD.RFL, but in this case the error is simply
"unable to open file."

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Sylvain
