Old Scheduled Events

I think this has been discussed before but it still remains a problem. I used to run the weekly check on our post offices on Sunday and they always finished by Monday morning if not Sunday evening. As the post offices grew and it took longer and longer to finish the weekly checks I moved both the reduce check, which didn't take very long, and the general check to Saturday. The reduction begins at 10:00AM and it's finished long before the general check begins at 5:00PM.

It seems as if the original Sunday schedule for at least the reduction still kicks off on Sunday, or at least tries to, while the general check is still going on into Sunday evening. Some of the reductions seem to kick off for the second time just before general check is about to complete. This could be a matter of what threads are available for the processes.

I've rebuild the PO databases and still can't seem to get rid of the older event(s). I've deleted the events from the domain and rebuilt them from scratch and I still can't escape the redundant reduction.

Help?

Thanks,
Lil
