[ngw] Can you move a Post Office into a different domain?

You might not be able to move entire POs to another domain, but you can
certainly move *users* to different POs in different domains. So I
would make another domain and PO, or use another PO in an existing
domain, and move users there instead...might be slower, but it sure
would work.

The domain that owns those two gateways also has 7 post offices. It
used to the primary domain until just recently. My point in all of this
was to try orphan the domain and the two gateways to that server and
relocate the POAs to a different server (preferably to a different
domain). Since I can't move POs from one domain to another, I'll move
the POAs to different servers (from NetWare to Windows) and at some
point, when I can decommission the two gateways, I can then move the
domain and decommission the NetWare server that the domain is running
on.

Thanks everyone, for your input.

I think really he was just planning "long term" to get rid of the
domain, and wanted to have it just own those two gateways. So, of
course, no there's no reason not to just move the POs to the other
server and leave them belonging to the NetWare domain. But eventually he
might want to get rid of an extraneous domain that isn't needed, etc.

Fail to see the problem here.....
With the two old gateways, that you still need, simply run the domain
and the gateways on a Netware box....
And migrate the PO to a New server, running maybe OES2-Linux or SLES or
Windows....
That way, you benifite from the new pdf indexing....
No law says, that the domain has to run on the same box as the PO, or
am I missing something here ?
