[ngw] Weird FROM issue

Hi All:
 
GroupWise 7.0.3 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows client.
 
I've got a weird issue I've never seen before (in 15 years of
administering GroupWise).
 
Someone sent an internal message to everyone in our agency (single PO).
He proxied into our Helpdesk acct and sent out to a dist list.
 
Everyone got the message, but if you look at the Properties, it says it
came from an individual, NOT the mailbox it was sent from!!
 
In short , the FROM field on the Mail tab does not match the FROM field
on the Properties tab of the message.
 
Has anyone experienced this and/or have any suggestions on how I
prevent this from happening again?
 
Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
