[ngw] Weird FROM issue (clarification)

Hi All:
 
GroupWise 7.0.3 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows client.
 
I've got a weird issue I've never seen before (in 15 years of
administering GroupWise).
 
Someone sent an internal message to everyone in our agency (single PO).
He proxied into our Helpdesk acct and sent out to a dist list.
 
Everyone got the message, but if you look at the Properties, it says it
CREATED BY: an individual, NOT the resource mailbox it was sent from!!
 
In short , from the receipient's perspective, the FROM field on the
Mail tab does not match the CREATED BY: field on the Properties tab of
the message. If you proxy into the Helpdesk acct, and open the item in
the Sent Items folder., the CREATED BY: line in the Properties tab
matches the sender. So the Properties in the Sent Item does not match
the Properties on the received email.
 
Has anyone experienced this and/or have any suggestions on how I
prevent this from happening again?
 
Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
