[ngw] Email Domain Name Change

Group, I have a SBS 6.5 office wanting to change their domain name.
Currently the internet MX record points email for that domain name, into
their public IP address.  They want to continue the ability of getting old
emails for a few months, until clients and contacts become accustomed to
their new email address.

What I was thinking was pointing the current domain name - to the new domain
name, and pointing the new domain names MX record to the Groupwise server.
If that works, I just need to change the domain name in the one spot on the
servers GW system, and away they go.

Any comments, and/or suggestions on this as a changeover scenario?
