Did you check link config while connected to the secondary? Are the inbound and outbound ports matching up when you check both domains via web console?

Subject: [ngw] Secondary domain cannot make outgoing connection

I can't believe I haven't been able to figure this one out.

I moved a secondary domain to a VM from a physical server, and now it won;t connect to the primary.
I'm using the same IP address on the VM, and the incoming link is open from the primary. I have checked all the addresses and ports and everything is right.
I even changed the port and changed them back to make sure C1 wasn't lying to me.
I've rebuilt the secondary from the primary, I have made sure I connected to each of the domains to make sure the view matches.
I can telnet from the secondary to the primary on port 7100, and vice-versa.
I have used the DNS name for the servers and the ip addresses.

Mail will go from the primary to the secondary but is stuck the other way.

Secondary is OESSP2 32bit and the primary is SLES10SP1 64bit.

I also tried changing the link to point at another secondary domain and had the same problem. It must be on the new server VM, but I don't see what the problem is.

Oh, and the firewall is off on all the servers.
