I have gone over 5000 before but the issue I ran into was when I did a busy search to test them and found that busy search would die when you went of 5000. That was using a gw 7.3x client.

I don't know the limit but I have created 4 address books for each of our campus and have imported as many as 2400 names (microsoft live domain) into the largest one, and gave read only access to all of our district, now it tool a long time for it to handle it and not all who were sent the invite accepted it. I clean it out every term and start fresh so as not build up too many names. Hope that helps. Phil

Does anyone know if there is a limit to either the number of addresses one can have in an address book or the number of people that can share the address book?
We are looking at the possibility of creating a shared address book that all faculty/staff will have access to. This would mean about 500 users sharing one address book. All but a handful of those people would be read only. The address book may contain up to 1500 external email addresses.
Does anyone know of an issue or have experience with kind of a setup?
Thanks.
