Me too, Danita.  Shoes are for the birds (or I mean for the people who
have to wear them).....

I guess I'm really the epitome of "hillbilly" (even though I grew up in
California I was born in Tennessee so I can call myself a hillbilly
without any disparaging connotations <g>). I wear shoes absolutely as
little as possible.

Just been running on the beach (I know, it's horrible). But there are
guys out there running in the snow. And a school district in the south
decided to go shoe-less and they've shown that colds and flus have
actually decreased. I know, sounds far-fetched. But it's fun to talk
about and do. Running barefoot is a lot funner than running shod.

I wouldn't call that crazy, but generous.

I sometimes would remove my shoes for the last couple miles of a
competitive run when I was a kid. Everyone thought I was crazy but it
WAS easier when feet and legs were tired. More than made up for the time
lost in shucking shoes and socks. But where do you put your Nike+
transponder? (grin)
