[ngw] next release of GW

They mentioned it in the release, it will be for authentication only and not for administration.  They stated that removing the need for c1 (and eDir) for management will be part of Windmere, the next release after Ascot.  They did say they are already working on this and that parts of the new management solution will be included in Ascot, but it won't "enabled" or working until Windmere.

That's the one thing that isn't clear to me.  Will you still require eDirectory to create and maintain your GroupWise system while using AD for authentication purposes only?  Or will GroupWise be a stand-alone database for maintenance purposes?  Or will you be able to create/maintain GW objects in AD?

The Active Directory authentication is much needed.  I assume this means no more reliance on eDirectory, so I can retire that as well.
