An notable aside:
While there might be "free" plug-ins for Outlook the actual Outlook application isn't free and unless you have the full MS Office Suite, you are required to buy an Outlook CAL to install and use the full windows client... that's in addition to the Windows Server CAL and MS Exchange CAL you need just to have an Exchange email account.
 
Man I love the simple, "you pay this much per-user or per-workstation" for GroupWise and then I can install as many servers, agents and clients as I feel like ;)

What's interesting in the "Exchange" interoperability space is that the Outlook plug-ins are free, right?  And that makes the CRM or application integration free with Exchange, right?
