I first mis-read your post and thought "screaming competitions?  That's
new."   I'm in that area and my boss lives in VA Beach.  I think his
daughter might want to give fencing a try so I'll send this to him.

I subject myself to screaming competitors, coaches and parents on a
regular basis, all over the country.  I’m a fencing referee.  I’ll be
doing this in Virginia Beach next week.  If anyone on this list is from
there, give a shout out.
