[ngw] GW on Windows Server 2003 - services hang on startupsince latest patches

Primary problem I'm having along those lines is that we have the service set to restart after it abends. Most of the time it does so, with a minute delay built in. But occasionally the service begins to start but hangs after validating the directory structure or some such. I have to power down the machine, virtually speaking, and restart it.
I was hoping that HP1 would at least stop the abends, as it was supposed to do. I guess it's now a different abend on the same module.
So far the most stable installs of the POA I have are on 2008 servers, though there is a display compatibility issue.

Has anyone seen this? If we leave the services on Automatic, when the
server re-boots they show Starting for an indefinite period of time - they
never do start up. We have to set the services to Manual startup, re-boot
the server and then manually start them one at a time. This didn't start
until the servers auto-updated. If anyone knows what specific patch may
have caused this problem, or if they have a script to delay the start, I'd
love to hear about it.
Thanks.
