[ngw] D069 When Restoring

Hi folks,

I'm having a problem restoring messages for a user.  Here are the settings:

- source server = Win2K3, GW 7.0.3
- restore server = Win2K3 (different server than live post office)
- C/S only for both post offices (live and restored)

I set up the Restore Area in ConsoleOne using \\ipaddress\share_name\folder_location and made both the post office and the individual user members of this Restore Area, entered the administrator username and password in the remote server settings for the POA and also added the same thing in the POA startup file just to make sure.

I can login to the mailbox, open the backup and see all of the messages.  But, if I try to restore a message, I get a D069 "You have attempted to open an incompatible backup database" error.  On the POA console, I see a "Error: Attempt to open invalid backup location [D069] User: UserX" error.  If I do a "Restore Mailbox" from ConsoleOne, I see pretty much the same error.

At this point, I'm assuming that it's a Windows permission issue so I opened the share to everyone in the world and I'm still getting the same error.

Anybody have any thoughts/ideas/suggestions????
