[ngw] Strange Webaccess 8 login issue (becoming widespread)

We got it resolved, but as is the case a lot of times, we don't know what exactly fixed the problem. Ran the reset client options on a user and it didn't work right off, but they went into their options -> environment -> default actions -> and changed the start in folder from home to mailbox and then was able to login successfully in webaccess. They changed it back to home and they were still able to login. I ran the gw check on another user, still couldn't get in, looked at their default action and their start in was opposite. They were set to mailbox. I changed it to home, logged in successfully, changed it back, logged in successfully. So, I don't know if it is a combination of the two, or if simply changing the switch in the default 'start in' alone will do the trick. I guess we'll have to wait until the next person.
Thanks to all who responded. I always appreciate how active this list is. Have a good day.

Does the same problem occur if you select the simple interface in WA?
Also, have you verified that you are not running out of disk space? I recall a interesting problem similar to this where the disk/directory on which webaccess caches (I believe) user connections filled. This resulted in a few zero-byte files for a few user connections, and they couldn't login. Once the disk problem was fixed and all the connection files were deleted, everything went back to working.

This sounds familiar. Have you tried reset preferences via GWCheck?

Yes. Many times. We have run maintenance on the domain, on the user's mailboxes, etc. When logging in diagnostic mode, the only info for a user having the issue is
server thread is processing a request...
<user> Login
server thread finished servicing client
The difference with a user that is working is that after it shows login, then shows list folders, open folder of incoming messages, etc.....if that helps at all.

Have you tried restarting Webaccess?
