Tried all those. see below. Also complains it is deleting a blob. But it keeps coming back. Where's that CO2 extinguisher?

Uh, oh . . . another unexpected consequence of Global Warming, that darn thing is gonna thaw out!

Is there a user.db in the archive directory? msg.db? ngwguard.db?

Hold down Ctrl-Shift when opening the archive. That will run a GWCheck (Structure and Contents, I think). If that doesn't fix it, run stand alone GWCheck|Re-create user Database against the archive. You will lose any folder structure under the mailbox, but it should recover the messages. YMMV.

Have a corrupt (?) archive that resulted by a user reading but not reading instructions. Anyway, the archive location will open with windows client, but shows
no messages. Yet there are some 200 files of this sort "43f4f61f.000"

GW check says "Error checking file 43f4f61f.000, INVALID_STORE_NUM (0xC067)"

Is there any way to force these files (remnants ?) into a usable form?
