Brad, Check pending operations to see if the name change is hung up replicating out to the other PO's.

Brad,
Unfortunately I do not.
That said I am starting to question the direction I was taking you only because its not that the POA does not see the user its that the POA/PO does not have the new user name registered with it. I got too busy trying to recall the redirection info and forgot the root of your issue -user name change.
Sorry about that. I went back to your original post to reread and get back on track.
Lets back up or rather get back to the issue of the user name change.
Once you changed the user name -they could login to their PO right?
But they would NOT be redirected to their PO from a 2nd PO right?
Did you look at the 2nd POA logs at time of attempted login to see what the issue was/error code?
Does the renamed user receive internet email to its new name?
Its only that 1 user.
That takes me back to a rebuild of the PO. When you did the rebuild of the 2nd -non users po -did you make sure the POA was down? Rebuild. Then bring it back up? And that this happened only after you rebuilt the 2nd PO's DOM in the same manner?
Because what is happening is that 2nd po does not KNOW about the user name change. That means the record is not getting there to the wphost.db.
Since you are still GW12 -highly advise you get up to GW14R2- that means you are using C1 and eDirectory. When you renamed the GW user was it in GW view or eDirectory View?
Then in C1 you can 'synchronize' the user, the PO, dom with eDir so the changes sync out. That sync is similar to a Replicate but not quite.
What I am hoping to do is trigger an idea for you to check and something you can use to get this fixed. This issue can be easy to fix or difficult but without hands-on its tough to troubleshoot sometimes.

Gregg,
Any chance you could check out a POA to see where it is? I restarted one of my POAs in show mode and could not find anything to Rebuild the Redirection Tables under the menus. I did find Check Redirection Lists but that just checks the IP Address Redirection Table.
Thanks again for your help!!

Ok so then the issue is with the Redirection Tables on the PO/POA that does not honor the name change.
I cannot recall via the HTTP Monitor for the POA if you can rebuild those tables. I do recall from the Heads Up console of the POA that you could....but this means stopping the PO, and starting it in "--show mode" -if running on Linux. Once in Show mode you will have a screen for the POA on the server. From there you can use the Menu of the POA screen to Rebuild the Redirection Tables. That forces the POA to go out and get new info.
I have no POA in front of me so I cannot give specifics and of course searching TIDS does not help as it comes up with anything redirect.
Here is the HTTP POA monitor I was talking about but for GW14 --about the same:
https://www.novell.com/documentation/groupwise2014r2/gw2014_guide_admin/data/adm_poa_manage_console_access.html
Look under Configuration.
--show : That will give you a POA screen on the box where you load it.
Go here toward the BOTTOM of the page -you will find the Configuration picture --not the IP Address Redirection Table link on one of the pics. https://www.novell.com/documentation/gw8/gw8_admin/data/a7u977y.html
Good luck!

Subject: Re: [ngw] "Post Office Not Found" Error
Gregg,
Thanks for your help so far. We are still running GW 2012 SP4 so I do not have the right-click Replicate option on the user. I confirmed that all of my domains see the name change on the user. I went as far as rebuilding the DBs on my primary PO and my 2 secondary POs. Unfortunately the problem still exists. If I force the client to connect to the secondary PO where the user account is, I can log in as that user. If the client connects to my primary or the other secondary PO I get the Post Office Not Found error. It appears to be only for this user. Any other suggestions?
This is the first time this has happened so I'm hoping this is just a one-off issue.

You know I thought of one other thing for you to check. In the POA HTTP monitor, you want to look for the Redirection Tables link -of some sort -I do not recall offhand. Once found you can ask to update/resend I believe -again not sure as I do not have a POA HTTP mon in front of me. But that might be an easy.
If the user can login with the new name -than that means that users PO is good. If not, it means the users PO needs some help.
If your redirection is an issue on a different PO then that users -and the users PO is good -then you need to Replicate/rebuild on that redirection PO.
The key is making sure the changes are seen when connected to EACH domain involved. Remember just connecting to the Primary domain is ONLY seeing what the Primary sees -not what the Secondary sees. The old saying Each domain has its own view of the GW system. Your job is to make sure that all domains -and po's- see the same thing.
Good Luck!

Gregg,
Thank you for your suggestions! Should I rebuild the user's PO in the secondary domain or the PO in the primary domain where the post office redirection is not working?

If GW14 and above --once user name is changed try Replicate on the user object to make sure the update is pushed out to all domains/PO's. Then you might do the same on the PO where the user was changed.
Structure/Fix etc does not work for a rename per se.
Worst case you may have to do a rebuild of the PO. But first make sure the Primary domain KNOWS about the name change. Then make sure the Secondary Domain KNOWS about the name change. Then the PO 'should know' but if not, Replicate or Rebuild of PO db to push down the changes to the PO.
If the first/only time this has happened it might be a one off issue. If its happened more often then you may have a communications issue.
Good luck and let us know if you need more help.
Take Care.

Subject: [ngw] "Post Office Not Found" Error
Good morning!
I recently renamed a user who resides in a post office in a secondary domain. Since I renamed the user, post office redirection does not work for this particular user. I receive a Post Office Not Found error. If I rename the user back to her original user name, post office redirection works. So far I have run GWCheck Analyze/Fix and Structural Rebuild on the user. I also tried syncing the secondary domain with the primary domain. Any other suggestions on how to fix this?
Thank you!
