[ngw] passing category colors to shared calendars

Hey James - You are correct.  It is working as designed for the very reason you mentioned.

As I recall, there was a discussion about this during beta when that was first introduced.

I believe it was left to the recipient to make the color choice. I think one argument was that there was the possibility that the recipient might have already used a color that would conflict with using it on the shared calendar.

I suspect this is functions as designed.

Hi all,




Had a user post the following scenario to me this morning and would

like your thoughts....




Manager has created a personal shared calendar that he has shared with

all of his direct reports (appx a dozen)




He places personal appointments for staff meetings and such and then

color codes them based upon certain criteria.




He would like to find a way for the category color codes to show up on

the recipient's copy of the shared calendar.  




I tried recreating the same category/color codes on the recipient's

GroupWise client but that doesn't work.  They still show up as gray.  




Any ideas?
