Bob (TechGW1),

The "GroupWise Coexistence Solution for Microsoft Exchange" will auto create a GroupWise External Domain and External PO to represent the Exchange system in the GroupWise System Address Book. It does this via an LDAP connection to Microsoft AD where it auto creates External Users to represent all the Exchange users in the GroupWise System Address Book. It also populates all your GroupWise users in the Exchange GAL.

The second part of this "GroupWise Coexistence Solution for Microsoft Exchange" is the Free/Busy searching in both directions. GroupWise users can busy search Exchange user and vise versa.

So, no manual creating of External Domain, External POs and External Users is necessary since its all done for you.

Note: There is an additional cost to use this feature that is built into the GWMTA.

Joseph Marton, below, gave you the GroupWise v2014 online guide URL, here is the v18 online guide URL:

Joe, Laura, Ed,

thanks for the additional info.

Does this Coexistence solution over ride the need for the external domain/PO or does it build on it?
