[ngw] What does "Purge settings (bag) record" indicate in the POA log file?

For what it is worth, the user has a super fast PC, but, the GroupWise
client pauses (Windows reports that the program is not responding). If
she waits it out, the GroupWise client wakes up from unconsciousness,
and then continues on.
On the one hand, she is a busy person, and I'm seeing "Purge settings
(bag) record" 600 times a day. On the other hand, she has been writing
down when the pauses happen (and for how long). So far, all I really
have is "Purge settings (bag) record" is happening in the same minute
when her trouble happens.
Usually, the pauses are for 5 to 8 seconds at a time. Three times
yesterday, there were pauses longer than 30 seconds. This morning, two
pauses were longer than one minute.
Although the pauses are the problem I'm trying to solve, I wouldn't
mind knowing just what "Purge settings (bag) record" means.

Trying to diagnose a user problem, and see "Purge settings (bag)
record"
in the POA log file. I have my guess as to what it is, but thought
better that I ought to ask.
