[ngw] [External] Re: Script to Run GWCheck Mailbox Statistics for Resources

This is the route I would take. Enable the job on one of the scheduled events pages. Then figure out the scheduled event ID by visiting

https://your-domain-server-here:9710/gwadmin-service/domains/your-domain-here/postoffices/your-post-office-here/poas/your-poa-name-here/refevents/

That will show you the ID of something like this: SCHEDULED_EVENT.4a0c317f

Then you can do a REST PUT call with your script to https://your-domain-server-here:9710/gwadmin-service/domains/your-domain-here/postoffices/your-post-office-here/poas/your-poa-name-here/refevents/4a0c317f

The REST PUT call needs a payload to say to add SCHEDULED_EVENT.4a0c317f

I'm using XML, so my payload looks like '<batchupdate><add>SCHEDULED_EVENT.4a0c317f</add></batchupdate>'

But the URL you are writing to needs to have the ID number in the end of it; so it isn't just blah/refevents/ - it is blah/refevents/4a0c317f

Hope this helps.

Laura,

Thank you for the response. I considered your option and will have to use it if I can't find an easier way to accomplish my task. When I was checking the Scheduled Events, I discovered that I already had a Mailbox Statistics definition, it just isn't associated with any scheduled jobs at the moment. I was trying to avoid hitting 120 POAs if I could use scripting to get it done.

Hi Joshua,

You could investigate creating a scheduled maintenance task and enabling it
on each of the POAs concerned. I'm not sure if that will work for you but
perhaps just take a look.

Cheers,
